Joell started her fashion career as a model for Seattle Model’s Guild and Ford in LA at the age of 5. She booked over 70 print shoots and runway appearances over the next 15 years.
She was the spokesmodel and face of International Citizen. Joell was also the covergirl in several national publications and ad campaigns.
Joell’s acting career has spanned over 20 years. She began training with Groundling’s founder, Gary Austin at the age of six. Her audition and acting technique coaches David Wells, Joey Paul Jensen, Deborah Dion, Stanzi Stokes, Terrance Hines and Gary Spatz have provided training to Joell for years. She trained with Wenndy Mackenzie, Scott Harlan, Helena Buscema and Curt Piar in vocal performance. She trained with the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood. She also trained for over a decade in various forms of dance. She worked with Terry Taylor, Sandy Shore and Ron Reid in stand-up comedy. Joell has appeared in several films, television pilots and stage performances.
Joell earned a master’s degree in Film from the American Film Institute Conservatory, since edited her first feature film and worked on Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer. She has a master's in Mass Communication and Journalism from California State University, Northridge, and is an award-winning reporter who has covered events in entertainment, fashion and sports. In 2016, Joell founded the Seattle International Fashion Film Festival which has grown to include entries and winners from dozens of countries around the world. She brings her wealth of experience and education in all areas of the industry to her current job of new talent development for for both the Seattle and Hollywood offices of Dramatic Artists. This year, she expanded talent scouting and development for the agency across the U.S.
